Tokyo Chapter (1969)

The Tokyo Chapter was founded in 1969 and is currently registered with the government of Japan as a Non-profit Organization. Befitting its NPO status, all of the officers work on a purely volunteer basis, although the Chapter does employ some professional assistance. Tokyo hosted the 1972 and 1999 World Congresses.

Marketing Communications Executives International (1974)

Throughout the years, "Sales Promotions" was gradually integrated into a broader discipline called the "Marketing Communication". In 1974, the scope of SPEA was extended, its statutes were revised to cover the new concept and a new acronym, MCEI (Marketing Communications Executives International) selected.

Swiss Chapter (1977)

In September 1977, Paul Genton took his new position as Director general of Geneva Airport International. With some friends, he had the opportunity and the great pleasur to create the Swiss Chapter, inaugurated on December 8, 1977, twenty years after the Brussels one and with the same success as all other Chapters around the world.
